MINIMUM ORDER REQUIREMENTS
Minimum order requirements are needed for shipment. Our furniture cannot be shipped by couriers like Canpar, Purolator or Federal Express. Furniture needs to be palletized for safe shipment. If your order is too small for us to ship on a pallet, it will need to be increased. Most dining chairs and barstools are packed in cases of two and cannot be broken. Please contact our customer service department for further details. Please note that we are a trade only company supplying retailers with store fronts, and those in the hotel and restaurant trade.
SHIPPING
Unless otherwise instructed, Sunpan will prepay and charge freight costs to the customer on their invoice. Collect shipments can also be arranged. If you have an account number with a freight company that you would like us to use, please indicate it clearly on your purchase order.
CUSTOMERS OUTSIDE OF CANADA
We frequently ship to the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean. All freight charges are prepaid and charged to the customer on our invoice. All commerical invoices, international bills of lading and brokerage documents are prepared in house by Sunpan. Our customer is only responsible for freight charges, any extra duties and payment of goods. Goods sold outside of Canada are billed in US Dollars.
PAYMENT
All orders are to be prepaid in advance of being shipped unless terms have been established. Terms are never given on an opening order and are only granted after several orders and thorough credit checks. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express (we apologise but American Express is not available to our US customers). If you're coming to pick up your order personally, Interac is available. We also accept cash and certified checks. Please contact our credit manager Ms. Judit Lovei at judit@sunpanimports.com for futher information.
ORDERING
Orders need to be sent via fax to 1+4167360098 or via email to info@sunpanimports.com. For Ontario residents, a valid PST# must be presented at time of ordering. Please fax us a copy of your order on your store letterhead with your PST number. For all other parts of Canada, orders must be sent in writing via email or fax. If you're ordering from the United States, orders can only be processed with an IRS number, so please ensure that it is included with any correspondance. Please contact our customer service department if you have any questions about availability and delivery times. We try our best to maintain inventory levels, but if some of your selections are not available, please call us to suggest alternatives.
WARRANTY
All finishes and all parts and components of new furniture and merchandise (our “Products”) are warranted by Sunpan Trading & Importing Inc. to you, the consumer, for 6 months from your date of purchase from the retailer, to be free from defective material and manufacturing defects only (“Defects”) under normal use, as set out herein, and subject to the provisions, limitations and exclusions contained in this Warranty (the “Warranty”).
Under this Warranty, Sunpan’s liability is limited to replace the defective part or component, repair the defective Product or replace the defective Product. Sunpan’s first option is to supply replacement parts to remedy the Defect and if this is not possible, then the defective Product may be replaced or repaired at our discretion. If minor repairs can correct the problem, then Sunpan may approve reasonable and customary labour rates before repairs are made, in which case Sunpan shall reimburse you for such repair costs upon receipt of the Invoice paid by you for such repair. Sunpan will not be responsible for costs to transport the defective Products to your place of purchase (the retailer). This Warranty provides coverage to the original purchaser only and is not transferrable under any circumstances. This Warranty covers Defects only when used in normal residential conditions, and it does not apply to furniture used in rental, business, commercial, institutional, or any other non-residential uses. This Warranty does not apply to any condition or damage which is not a Defect, including without limiting the generality of the foregoing, any condition or damage resulting from neglect, misuse or abuse, accident, unreasonable or unintended strain or use, or any condition resulting from incorrect or inadequate maintenance, cleaning or care, or any damage to or failure of the finish resulting from alcohol, water or cleaning substance or liquid damage, exposure to sunlight, household humidity, or incorrect application of chemical treatment or any protective coating applied by the retailer or the consumer.
A claim under this Warranty must be made within the Warranty period. If Defects are found, it is the consumer’s responsibility to contact the retailer (the place of purchase) immediately, and notify them of the Defects. Do not contact Sunpan with a Warranty claim.
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND CONTAINS ALL EXPRESS AND IMPLIED WARRANTY RIGHTS OF THE PURCHASER. SUNPAN MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE WHICH EXCEED THE OBLIGATIONS OR TIME LIMITS STATED IN THIS WARRANTY ARE HEREBY DISCLAIMED BY SUNPAN AND EXCLUDED FROM THIS WARRANTY. THE PURCHASER AND SUNPAN EXPRESSLY AGREE THAT THE SOLE REMEDY OF THE REPLACEMENT OR REPAIR OF THE DEFECTIVE PRODUCT OR COMPONENT THEREOF IS THE SOLE REMEDY OF THE PURCHASER. SUNPAN MAKES NO OTHER REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. IN NO EVENT SHALL SUNPAN BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, LOSS RELATED TO PROPERTY OTHER THAN THE PRODUCTS, PERSONAL INJURY, LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF TIME, INCONVENIENCE OR OTHER ECONOMIC LOSS.
FREIGHT CLAIMS
All merchandise is carefully inspected and packed in prior to leaving our warehouse. It is the dealer's responsibility to inspect the merchandise at the time of arrival. Claims of loss or damage must be noted on the Bill of Lading at the time of receipt and reported to Sunpan Trading & Importing Inc. immediately upon receipt of shipment. Receivers should write a brief, specific description of the damage on the trucker's delivery receipt. In the event the dealer refuses to accept the merchandise and returns them to our warehouse without prior authorization all freight charges, both outbound and inbound, will be billed to the dealer.
